Interim management is the temporary provision of additional experienced management resources and skills to an organisation.
The scope and role of an interim assignment is typically broader and less defined than a typical marketing consultancy engagement, much like a normal employee who has a primary role but is often expected to contribute and deliver in abroad range of other activities.
However the interim engagement is by definition short term and is usually required to meet a shortfall in current resourcing either to support a business through a period of change or rapid growth or to provide access to senior expertise that would be too expensive to commit to as a full-time employee.
